Nothing like a picture! Here is video of Giuliani’s weekly radio address on September 22, 2000, exactly one week after surgery. He is discussing prostate cancer with the two doctors that operated on him during the first 5 minutes. He certainly does not seem impaired, in any way. He did miss his radio show on September 15, the day of his surgery.

I have seen a lot of folks who were quite chipper after even a major surgery, but faced a long road ahead of them. That said, I will accept this evidence and withdraw my objection. I apologize, but I still don’t think we have any business questioning his explanation, because there are plenty of people who get prostate cancer and are soon in no shape to campaign or serve in the Senate.
