Romney never even acknowledges the Romney statements on the attack in question, this is huge.
Of course nothing of substance could have been done anywhere but to Rush directly, but Romney didn’t even stoop to make the gesture.
Romney is clearly saying something here.
It smells like triangulation to me. As I’ve said many times, I think there’s a lot to like about Romney — but this is exactly why I haven’t been able to trust him.
