Explosive device found on exit ramp (PENNSYLVANIA)
CLARION - State police are attempting to locate a suspect following the discovery Monday of what appeared to be a homemade explosive device on the Exit 62 ramp off eastbound Interstate 80.
The Erie bomb squad was called in after PennDOT employees working along the interstate found the device, police said.
No one was injured in the incident, which closed the ramp for about four hours - from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The device was a liquid-filled plastic bottle with batteries attached using duct tape and wires,” state police Trooper Robert Hageter Jr. said. SNIP
