A boy of 12 suffers from so many allergies that he is able to eat only five foods.
Tyler Savage is violently ill every time he is given dishes containing dairy products or wheat, gluten, eggs, lactose and soya.
The sole foods he is allowed are chicken, carrots, grapes, potatoes and apples.
To help him survive, minerals and vitamins are pumped directly into his stomach through a tube.
Tyler started to fall ill at the age of six when even a morsel of food would leave him writhing in agony from sickness and diarrhoea.
His mother, Lynne Savage, 43, said: "We asked for help but kept being told that he was suffering from a stomach infection. As a result his weight dropped drastically.
"He ran out of energy really quickly and couldn't do the things other children were doing. He just seemed to be getting worse and worse.
"It's been a real struggle. We didn't know what to do."
Tyler - from Earls Colne in Essex - was seen by a paediatrician at Chelmsford's St John's Hospital and had his appendix removed in December 2005.
Although the operation was a success it failed to solve the problem and he was referred to Colchester General Hospital for further tests and treatment.
That shed no light on the mystery illness and in April last year Tyler was sent to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London for checks on his stomach and bowels.
The tests led to a diagnosis of eosinophilic enteropathy, a rare and condition in which the intestines produce too many white blood cells.
These act as a miniature immune system and attack food passing through the gut to the stomach.
The condition saw Tyler's weight drop to barely three stone.
"He was becoming malnourished," said Mrs Savage, a married mother-of-three and housewife.
At first, Tyler was fitted with a nose tube to help get food direct to his stomach, bypassing the rogue blood cells in his gut.
Then, this May, he had a tube inserted into his stomach allowing him to be fed for up to ten hours through the night.
"Even though this will continue for the foreseeable future, it is a godsend," said Mrs Savage.
"Last year he was only at school for about ten days, but in the first two weeks of this new term he's only missed one day.
"We've got a long way to go but at least we're now getting some answers."
In the day, Tyler, whose father, David, 60, is an engineer, can eat the five foods he is not allergic to.

Interesting.
ST. PETERSBURG -- It was about 9:50 a.m. when President Bush emerged from the massive Air Force One to begin his quick jaunt through the state.
The commander-in-chief was in town for about two hours Friday for a $25,000-a-plate fundraiser luncheon with the Republican National Committee at the home of developer Brent Sembler in Pinellas Park.

After more handshakes and pictures with the Bakers, Bush walked a few paces to award Brenda Corace Guinand with the President's Volunteer Service Award. Guinand volunteers with the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, visiting patients in their homes and at nursing homes.

Caution: this is a bit of a hit piece sprinkled with old mantras.
BINGHAMTON -- Under no circumstances will anti-abortion activist Randall Terry vote for Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York City Mayor and Republican presidential candidate.
~Snip~
While Giuliani's campaign staff was not aware of Terry's tour, a spokesperson pointed to comments on Giuliani's abortion stance from Texas Republican Rep. Peter Sessions who said earlier this month, "Rudy (Giuliani) has clear differences with Hillary Clinton on abortion: he opposes partial-birth abortion, supports parental notification, and will uphold the ban on taxpayer funding."
Terry, who describes abortion unequivocally as "killing children," started Operation Rescue in 1987. The group incited crowds of protestors to picket and confront women who entered clinics that perform abortions.
The group's tactics landed Terry in jail on several occasions. In 1992, Terry and others were sentenced to five months in prison for arranging to have a fetus in a jar delivered to then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton at the Democratic National Convention. Operation Rescue's leader, the Rev. Philip "Flip" Benham, has since ostracized Terry for his extra-marital affairs and a 2000 divorce.
Terry saw the national spotlight again in 2003 when he served as spokesperson for the parent's of Terry Schiavo, the brain-dead Florida woman at the center of a seven-year court battle, which spurred a national media frenzy and debate in U.S. Congress.

Clearly angered by unaccustomed criticism from his most ardent allies, Frank called a press conference Thursday - which coincided with National Coming Out Day - in which he accused gay rights organizations of an all-or-nothing approach that punishes their friends and damages the prospects for future gay-friendly legislation.
Straying well beyond the transgender issue, Frank struck back at a much broader belief among many liberal voters and constituencies that the new Democratic majority on Capitol Hill has failed to deliver as much as expected. He warned activists that they were in danger of a Terry Schiavo-style miscalculation, referring to Republicans who tried to cater to core voters by intervening two years ago in the case of a Florida woman on life support.

Asked what he would do if the nominee backed abortion, Brownback said he was confident it wouldn't happen.
"It's going to be. And I'm going to support the nominee of the party," Brownback said.
Rep. Duncan Hunter of California, a pro-life congressman who has been at or near the bottom most of the campaign, also said he wants the eventual GOP nominee to be pro-life.
"Yes, I would support the nominee of the party, but also work with whoever that nominee is to make sure that they understand that the Republican Party was built on a respect for human beings," he said.

The abortion fundamentalists at the Alan Guttmacher Institute have an ax to grind. Guttmacher styles itself the "research arm of Planned Parenthood," but it may more properly be called its lobbying arm.
In its new report on abortions worldwide, Guttmacher makes several claims. These fall into two broad, overlapping categories. The first consists of ploys to raise more funds for the population control-abortion crowd. The second, intended to pander to radical feminists, consists of veiled pleas to legalize abortion, couched in the form of arguments.

Yawn. Get over it.
Hand out awards at the hospice where innocent Terri was executed, but we mustn't execute the guilty Jose Ernesto Medellin. He's a foreign invader who brutally murdered a couple innocent American girls. Bush will fight for his life, but threw Terri to the wolves, and now hands out awards at the extermination camp where she was murdered.
God will not be mocked. Get over that.
Picked up ONE MEELION DOLLARS AT SEMBLER’S HUMBLE ABODE... Have a nice Saturday and “not guilty” in Boot Camp Death Trial. Good ol’ boys win again. Terri, Martin, perhaps even Anna Nicole Smith.
Evil is good and good is evil. We are there.
guess what? Euthanasia goes way back and it’s murder. It’s supposed to be ILLEGAL in the U.S. It’s about time people started speaking out against euthanasia AND genocide. If you think murder is a big yawn, you are entitled to your misguided opinion.
