Well, it's O'Dark Thirty and I'm still up so we might as well get started early on our FReepathon!!
Lots of great things happening. The surge is working. The Iraqi army is trained and starting to take over some of the fighting. Some of our troops will be relieved soon. The Iraqi citizens are growing tired of the Islamic extremists and are starting to kick them out. Things are getting generally better throughout Iraq. FRed Thompson has officially entered the race. The pro-abort, gun grabbing Rudy Giuliani is faltering. The antiwar moonbat Ron Paul is quickly rushing to the top of the one percenters (assuming you count the lib vote and the spammers, LOL). Cindy Sheehan can't muster a crowd. The Democrats are deeply saddened.
And Free Republic, the premier pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-national defense, pro-limited government, pro-America independent grassroots conservative site is still on the air and kicking lib butt!!

I like seeing the ads (well there are a couple that p*ss me off, like those with the ruling Rats ugly faces!) as they aren't intrusive and remind us that this is a supported site that relies on the good sense of its contributors. Plus it gives an incentive to everyone to help out in getting info out to the Republic.
Personally, I'd rather see some type of recognition of those who post that do contribute to the site's upkeep -- such as a slight addition to the Posters Sig line:
