I’d love to hear the story of what Michael Fletcher or Joseph Curl did. Curl is moving over to cover one of the campaigns full time, which sounds like a reasonable move and not necessarily a punishment. Fletcher, however, is being moved to “national economics,” which sounds deadly dull. I’ve looked over some of the things each has done and of the two, Fletcher is clearly out of his class where he is now. I’m particularly struck by the bunk he put out (with others) about Clarence Thomas’ new autobiography (covered at PowerLine).
Since the incident happened off the record, it 'll not be found in the transcript. Dana Perino gave a little hint about it on BOR. She just walked away without answering the outrageous question. Your guess is right about the reporter.
