The problem is candidates pass themselves off as conservatives wile they campaign but do a 180 and betray their constituents once they reach office. If they choose Guiliani it is because they have the mentality it is ok to sacrifice principles simply for the sake of winning. That is why the GOP finds itself in such a mess.
I agree with your statement and I only wish there were many more GOP voters that felt the same. Unfortunately, I don’t find that to be the case and I am beginning to question if the GOP is the conservative party or the “get elected” party.
It might even be accurate to describe them as the “beat Hillary” party. Dobson, Hillary, Rudy et al can do whatever they wish; I am voting for Hunter. I don’t go around “talking” conservative, I am a conservative and that is how I am going to vote. If we don’t believe our conservative values, principles or beliefs can stand against the opposition, then I am not quite sure who will believe nor see a reason that they should.
