I agree but many states have done away with any kind of mental institutions same things with jails and prisons. These people will more than likely end up on the streets causing more harm to innocent people. Absolutely true.
The two largest psychiatric institutions in the US (based upon schizophrenia and bipolar populations) are the LA County Jail and NY City's Rikers Island Prison.
