Yea I love nimrod jocks who think they know politics,another one-dimensional oily variety bohunk”Obermann”,goes from memorizing stats to “deep” insight on Geo-politics,the art of war,and macro/micro economics that he learned on the daily “Coms”.Hopefully he will be defeated and return to towel slapping and warm showers with the guys.
Unfortunately, a lot of stupid voters take them seriously, identify with them, and will vote for them because they were good athletes.
Heath Shuler in North Carolina is a good example. He beat a well entrenched GOP incumbent by six points. The incumbent never had a chance as Shuler was a famous football star from a neighboring state.
