Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase**
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band that formed in September 1968. Led Zeppelin consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham. With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands. Their rock-infused interpretation of the blues also incorporated rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, folk, pop, Latin, and country. The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in Britain, as they preferred to develop the concept of album-oriented rock.
Over 25 years after disbanding following Bonham's 1980 death, Led Zeppelin continue to be held in high regard for their artistic achievements, commercial success, and broad influence. The band have sold more than 300 million albums worldwide, including 109.5 million sales in the United States, and they are the only band to have had all their albums reach the U.S. Billboard Top 10. Led Zeppelin are ranked No. 1 on VH1's list of the 100 greatest artists of hard rock.
On September 12, 2007, it was confirmed during a press conference by promoter Harvey Goldsmith that the surviving members of Led Zeppelin will reunite for the Ahmet Ertegun tribute show at The O2 in London on 26 November 2007.

Wandering From Wisdom
READ: 1 Kings 3:4-14
Give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. 1 Kings 3:9
If God offered you anything you wanted, what would you ask for?
When Solomon was given that choice, he asked for the wisdom to discern good from evil so that he might lead Gods people well (1 Kings 3:9). Because you have asked this thing, God told Solomon, I have done according to your words. He even promised to give him both riches and honor (vv.11-13). To this day, Solomon is remembered for the great wisdom God gave him.
Solomon began his rule with devotion to wisdom and a deep ambition to build a magnificent temple to honor God. But something happened along the way. His passion for living by Gods wisdom was displaced by the allures of the wealth and position God had given him. His marriage to foreign women who worshiped pagan gods eventually led himand ultimately the nationinto idolatry.
The lesson is clear. Keeping our love for Christ and His wisdom preeminent is a primary objective for those of us who want to live to satisfy God throughout the course of our life. A commitment to following the riches of Gods wisdom will enable us to avoid the drift that destroyed Solomon.
Keep your heart in tune with Gods wisdom and obey His voice. Thats the way to finish well.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Heres my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above. Robinson
Monitor your heart daily to avoid wandering from Gods wisdom.

With Deep Sorrow I have to post my Grams obituary, Gram (Zellah B. Thompson) went home to be with the Lord on September 1st 2007 barely three months shy of her 101st Birthday. We will be leaving tomorrow morning for Massachusetts for her Memorial Service, it's an 8 hour drive. Sunday I will be giving her eulogy at her life long Church. So I will be missing in action for the next couple of days.
I feel sorrow but at the same time I feel comforted that we had her for almost 101 years and also that my visit with her last year gave me confidence that she knew Jesus, I asked her and we Prayed together. See you all when I get back.
