Harry Reid is deeply saddened.

But, but, but, the Marxist Dimocrats of the People’s Abortion Approving and Homosexual Fag Loving Socialist’s Party support the troops. They have said so millions of times. Stinking SOBs.

Reid, Levin, Menendez, Clinton, etc etc...the usual suspects.

Get a load of this, Dingy. 26 members of your own party are against you on this. Ditch the surrender amendments, would ya? The surge is working whether you like it or not!

By a vote of 72-25 (3 not-voting), the Senate passed the Cornyn Amendment that strongly condemns any effort to attack the honor and integrity of General Petraeus and all members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

It's a sad day, folks, when legislation has to be drawn up to minimize the slamming of our military heroes by our own politicians.

This whole business makes me want to puke.

Here’s what gets me - all these condemnations of those who voted against it, but every last one but Biden and Cantwell (both not voting) voted for the Boxer amendment, which did condemn the Petraeus ad but also condemned attacks on Kerry and Cleland. All Republicans but Specter and Hagel voted against that one, save Allard, who didn’t vote

So all Republicans but three voted against condemning the Petraeus ad earlier, just because they want to keep up these **inine attacks themselves.

I just think voting on this is sort of silly. Can we focus on real issues instead of condemning free speech?

I do not agree with the terrible ad whatsoever, but this seems like a waste of time.

Condemning something doesn’t really do anything. We should just say shame shame and move on (please pardon the pun)
