Yeah, I saw (or read) that same interview on John Voight, and was pleased, even though he stopped short of declaring himself a good solid America- Love it or leave it Conservative.
There are several fairly conservative actors and entertainers... Gary Sinese (sp?), Ted Nugent for example. And there are more that aren’t TOTAL moonbats; but not many who wear their love of America on their sleeves like John Wayne, and Air Force General (and actual combat pilot during at least 2, maybe 3 wars) Jimmy Stewart did.

I can’t say I would avoid watching a movie on TV with an actor whose views I disagreed with. Paying at the boxoffice, yes!

I don’t think so. Reynolds admitted that his immature attitude toward her children (he resented her attention to them) hurt their relationship.
I don’t know how many kids Golda Meir or Margaret Thatcher had, but their terms in office were not exactly “war-free”.......Just one more reason Hollywood types should keep their mouths shut unless they’re reading a script!

I don’t avoid all performers who are lefties, but I do avoid some.
For example, Henry Fonda was a liberal. He and Jimmy Stewart were friends and often argued about politics. But Henry never hated America or trashed our culture. So I have no problem watching his films and I love many of them. Daughter Jane, however, sickens me and I simply can’t stomach watching her films.
You’re right, ‘MOST’ of the older actors didn’t have this ‘rabid hatred’ of their own country.
