>>>Have you seen the video of Romney being questioned about his stance on abortion when he was running for Gov. of MA?<<<
Yeah, I have seen it. His speech when he ran for Senate in 1994 is probably the one you’re referring to, though.
That’s the one where he openly call himself a defender of the right to abortion. In 2002 when he ran for Governor, you can see his stance has changed. It’s where he says he is personally opposed to abortion but would uphold the status quo with regards to Mass’ abortion laws.
Frankly, I’d have a hard time going from 1994 to 2007 without 2002 inbetween. It just goes to show that he’s matured over the years with regards to life.
It’s a view that I can sympathize with, having changed my mind on the issue, as well—a stance that took several years to reach fruition.
Actually I was referring to the video of his “debate” or “interview” in 2002. He couldn’t have appeared more ready to say whatever it took to get the votes. If he can’t uphold his personal convictions, and challenge status quo when necessary, then what makes anyone think he would make a good President?
Status Quo: High taxes, Poor border security, Pro-Choice. Hmmmmmm.
