“Actually, I predict it will be McCain to drop first and then the 2nd tiers like Hunter. Maybe McCain has enough money to stay in past them though.”
McCain’s made something of a comeback, and is actually polling better than Romney nationally for the first time in months. Ah, the man’s ego. He won’t drop out until it’s over. And, being the “maverick” that he is, an independent run or a spin as Hillary’s VP wouldn’t surprise me at all.
I believe what’s reflected in the polls is the media administering CPR to McCain’s campaign. Yes, he does have ego....of a malicious sort actually. But I don’t think he’ll team up with Hill. Nor go independent.
But time will tell..and you might be right that he’ll be one to dig his heels in beyond all reasonable hope and keep beating that dead horse he calls a campaign.
