Yep..that is soooo right. But often the women are so devistated, made to feel so helpless and dumb, they are afraid to do. The children suffer the worst. They are forced to live with and accept behavior that destroys them emotionally....and sometimes, physically.
And also, the money in her case kept her a prisoner.
