Ellis Cose had a good point regarding black denial in the OJ case.
He said that to admit OJ was guilty would be to affirm white stereotypes of black savages since the killings were so brutal and bloody.
So it became an issue of racial pride.to claim he was guilty was like saying,”we ARE the beasts many racists say we are”
It was too much pride to swallow.
