OK, I've tried to be polite lately, but calling Allegra a war-profiteer is way over the top. Maybe we should compare Allegra, living in the front line to help delivery supplies to our soldiers to say, a certain political candidate, who, along with his buddy Alex Jones, enriches themselves with BLOOD MONEY by spreading enemy propaganda about the situation there and conspiracies about the origin? I would rather stand by the person personally helping our soldiers versus the person emboldening our enemy by spreading the enemies lies and painting a picture of a country that will surrender if they just keep the propaganda going..

If you go back to my comment, it appears I'm addressing poster George W. Bush. You see, the name at the top of a comment is the one to which a person has replied, or addressed.

Your claim at the outset was false. The Bush white house has been corrupted by the influence of the Saudi's, among others. They sign a resolution to 'act' against 'terror', but do not declare war on the countries documented to support it. They know where the money funding terror comes from, but will not do anything that works against the Saudi's who do fund terrorist groups around the world.

So? I honor it, no matter how frustrating it gets sometimes. I enjoy what I do. Being a part of this is an honor for me and the most fascinating thing I have ever experienced. And I have lived a pretty exciting life.

Fine and good. Our military has relied on civilian auxiliaries for decades. It's not military service but there is no doubt it's absolutely vital to our military effort overall, however anyone feels about Iraq. I know a woman who is a major contract-writer for the Air Force, has been for about 20 years.

Never said it wasn't. Those guys who go out on patrol every day and engage the enemy in firefights have my utmost admiration and are my heroes as are all of these people here.

And just where have I belittled their service? You always seem to insinuate this but it isn't true. On our pinglist alone, we have a mom whose son is in Iraq and we have a dad whose son will deploy soon. So the RP folk here at FR aren't bashers of the military.

Why do you think we need more troops if you intend to surrender like Run Paul wants to do?

I'm saying that if we are going to deploy to all our usual hotspots and the optional places we choose to go on top of Afghanistan and especially Iraq, then we need a much larger force.

If we withdrew to our bases to guard Iraq from its neighbors and brought most of our ground troops in Iraq home, we probably do have a large enough military at present.
