When my son was 3 he hid on me in a grocery store. First I tried to find him, then the workers tried to find him, before it was all said and done, customers left their carts and were going through the parking lots and adjacent stores. I’m not sure how much time went by but it wasn’t the instant that he went missing that we were calling the police. When the store manager started to panic and was dialing the police we found him. My thought was someone took him. How else would you explain a 3 yr. old vanishing?
Two questions -
1) How long did it take to find him?
2) How long before he was able to sit down again?
My four year old got away from me in a Walmart once. I was really glad to hear they actually DO have a Code Adam and that wasn’t some email Snopes urban legend thing. I told an employee in a panic I couldn’t find my daughter and she immediately called Code Adam on the intercom. She was found by an employee hiding in the clothesrack. She was punished by GOD!
OMG!
Hope you “whupped his a$$!”
To me, a few things in life warrant spanking a child and THAT was one of them!
The grandparents were babysitting the son of some friends.
The little tyke, age 3, hid from the grandparents and WOULD NOT come out. They were HYSTERICAL, CRYING, CALLING THE POLICE, by the time he showed himself. The grandfather almost had a heart attack. Needless to say, when the FATHER found out, a serious spanking ensued. This little one had rarely been spanked, so he was DISTRAUT and never hid from the adults again.
