Bush, doing the work the liberals can’t do-—yet.

Bush is a lot like Fox News; they both used conservative to get established, then moveed left in hopes of becoming a “loved” Republican.

Damn fools.

The next Attorney General will need to assure Senators that he won’t put most of Washington- both Congress and the Administration- in jail where they belong.

Is this another open borders friend of Bush’s?

>>>>President Bush is truly a slow learner

Actually, I hate to say this, but I think hehas become a coward, or aleast more afraid of a fight, than afraid of the results of defeat.

Remember, Ford tapped Edward Levy who gave us John Paul Stevens. It’s all the same with establishment people.

They say his “approval rating” is 30 percent, but I think it’s more like 10 percent — just the diehards from the RNC.

He may be a slow learner and have low poll ratings, but Republican primary voters are slow learners too. I imagine they will chose the Republican candidate most LIKE GWB in 2008 primaries.

“He was appointed to the Southern District of New York by Reagan.”

He ruled Padilla could be held as an enemy combatant but could see his lawyers. In his court two would-be terrorist bombers were sentenced to life in prison based on evidence discovered during the 1993 WTC bombing investigation.

Thanks for posting!

What happened to Olson??? One threat from Harry Reid and Bush knuckles under? He could recess appoint Ted Olson during the next holiday and he would serve until Bush leaves office. Harry Reid can’t do anything to stop it.

You have no idea if Ted Olson would agree to it. He has a mind of his own and I wouldn’t blame him a bit if he refused even if asked.

The lot of you know nothing except a news report, uncorraborated.

Knee jerkers of the world who hate President Bush, I invite you all to congregate here and take over this thread. Oh, yeah...never mind, you aready did.

Yeah sure, lets all get behind the guy that whiny SOB "Senator" from NYC thinks is OK.

The reality is that the only choice is Olsen, let the bastards try to keep him out while we bring up what happened to his poor wife and then recess appoint the guy anyway.

I worked in nyc during the WTC bombing trials (for the 1992 bombing) and Judge Mukasey is a great guy - and a very good judge!

People here should hold their horses.

The only reason Schumer listed him as an acceptable SCOTUS nominee was because HE ALREADY KNEW Mukasey wasn’t on Bush’s short list.

From what I’ve read so far, Mukasey sounds good and Schumer will have to twist himself into a pretzel to oppose him (which he will, of course, do).

Schumer, meet petard.

a very good judge!

Thats not the point.

The point is to destroy the Democratic Party.

Appoint Olson and start investigating the socialists ASAP.

Conventional wisdom is that you keep your attorney general close to the vest. You pick someone from your inner circle of friends.

"I want Ted Olson"

I would like to see him nominated also, but like I said on another thread it ain't going to happen. The DemonCraps hate him probably more than President Bush. Remember Olson was the one that got the Supreme Court to put a stop to this.

I’m suggesting he shouldn’t be written off so easily for AG since Ted Olson is a non-starter in Harry Reid’s Senate. This guy’s not a SCOTUS nominee and has a record that should be explored.

For crying out loud, Bush's people are now sending up a trial balloon on this guy to see if he can sneak it by us?????

Uh no....if El Presidente pushes this lib in sheep's clothing then his presidency will bring on the ignominy that it so richly deserves in this matter.
