Keep bumping the thread to the top-—we want it upfront as long as possible.
Thanks.
OPEN-BORDERS SENATORS PLAN END-RUN DREAM ACT AMNESTY The treasonous Senate will try again to pass amnesty in Defense appropriation bills----on the backs of our fighting men and women. Open-borders Senators are going to attempt to attach three proposals that would give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and dramatically increase the importation of additional foreign labor for American jobs.
Many of the Senators who helped us kill the Comprehensive Amnesty in June are indicating they are in favor of these preferences for illegal foreign workers and new foreign workers over American workers. We must keep them from attaching the Dream Act Amnesty to the Department of Defense authorization bill. And we also must keep them from taking hundreds of thousands of our high tech jobs from American students and middle-age American workers and giving them to foreign workers.
PLEASE NOTE The strategy for advancing selected provisions of the failed legislation on other bills is being crafted by Majority Whip Ricahrd J. Durbin. Durbin is likely to offer an amendment to the defense authorization bill when debate begins next week that would attach legislation allowing children of illegal immigrants who entered the United States before age 16 and lived here at least five years to gain conditional legal status and eventual citizenship if they attend college or join the military for at least two years.
ACTION Durbin and all other representatives need to be deluged with phone calls. They need to be warned NOT to attach any immigration reform to other bills. Let immigration bills stand alone and in the light of day.

If he goes along with this I know a lot of people here in Kentucky who will never vote for him again.
I don't doubt this is happening, but why aren't we hearing from those who supported 'us' & helped defeat this in June?
Please answer my original question...
Where is Jeff Sessions?....
I don’t doubt this is happening, but why aren’t we hearing from those who supported ‘us’ & helped defeat this in June?

If you want you could call him and ask him what he’s doing, what to do. I’d be interested in what his office says:
Washington, D.C.
Office of Senator Jeff Sessions

Good questions, Guen-—you are right on top of it-—for which we are very grateful.
May I respectfully suggest you ask Sessions and the rest of ‘em why they are silent on this initiative?
I remember that this was posted on the other thread...but I’m having trouble making heads or tails of it. I think “lost cause” means NO on this, but I’m not sure.

..He is against it.
Will determine (according to rep) how he will approach or address it, but he is against it.
Not that I had any doubt.
Thanks for being kind.
for your response

This is backstabbing, again!
Some interesting comments on the Dream Act Forum. Apparently the Dems aren’t too happy about this being attached to a Defense Bill. While they want YES on the Dream Act, they want NO on Defense. Flip side of what we want!! Here are a few of their comments and a link:
^^RED ALERT!!!**DREAM ACT ON SHAKY GROUNDS***START TO CALL!!
Sorry to be so dramatic, but this is the reality....
I finally got in touch with the Legislative Assistant for Republican Leader, Senator McConnell. Will Dream Act come to the floor next week, or week after? That is Durbins plan. Will REPUBLICANS allow it?! That is another story. The Legislative Assistant has told me that Republicans offices have started taking a tally to see if there is enough support from us and others (CALLERS) to allow such a measure to be attached.. He said Republicans are NOT planning to block this Amendment but could attempt to *** IF*** there is no overwhelming support.. He said they have been bombarded with PRO Dream calls during the recess, but it has really subsided, and the other side has started making some noise..
SO Guys DoD bill is coming for a vote next week most likely with Dream.. Will making calls for the next several days kill you?! You need to call TODAY, FRIDAY, and ALL NEXT WEEK we have no clue which day/time Dream will come to the floor BUT IT will....I have been on this board for a while and im warning you! Yes you!
Dont complain and bitch to me next week if you see no mention of Dream at all on the floor next week, and you start to PM saying hey i thought Durbin told you in DC, Dream will be on the floor for sure?! But, he also told me to tell my people that i represent (YOU!) to keep calling with a vote being so close
Durbin said to my face we already have 45 Democrats...Whether we will get ONLY 15 Republicans, is up to you.. Do what you want, but dont complain next week when we are sitting here on the board moaning that Dream is not on the floor.. It would be fun listening and watching the vote next week would it be? Get to work NOW!!!

Friends, the business lobbies also owns the GOP.
The illegal alien lobby is becoming one of the most powerful lobbies in the country.
Anyone with a *ping* list for NAU/SPP/Amnesty/Comprehensive Immigration Reform, etc...please ping other Freepers!
