It looks like the women will decide the next election in favor of Hillary Clinton (?) At least in Minnesota.

Was this the only state to go for Mondale in 1984?

Minnesota will probably give us a Senator Al Franken, too. Or maybe it is Stuart Smalley.

It’s not just women for HRC but liberal men too. They want to believe in her so badly.

"In fact, Minnesota has voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate in eight straight elections." Hillary is only at 51%. Methinks that the streak will end come 2008...

Real women don’t vote for Hillary.

Yes, the problem in Minnesota is that the big cities-Mpls, St. Paul and Duluth (and now possibly even Rochester) vote overwhelmingly RAT). If we had electoral votes by House District we would look much better.

I was about to say...this is a surprise????

Mondale carried only Minnesota and the District of Columbia. His margin in the popular vote in Minnesota was 3,761 votes, out of more than 2 million votes cast. There was a Libertarian candidate who received 2,996 votes, so Mondale may have had an absolute majority (by 765 votes) unless there were write-ins or spoiled ballots.
Minnesota made up for 1984 by voting against Mondale for Senator in 2002.

What’s important to note here is that Fred does better against her than the others do!

Totally agree.
“telephone survey found Clinton leading Fred Thompson by 11”
At 1 yr out from the election, and only an 11 point lead, this is the same as a Pubbie having the lead here in MN.

I know, I’ve heard it before; if there was no Detroit, MI would be Republican; without Philadelphia, PA would be Republican; without Chicago, IL might be Republican, etc.

I’ve never quite understood what it is about urban living that makes one a liberal.
