So, they are willing to roll the dice. Not the day after it happens somewhere in this country.

So could cell phone activated bombs discreetly placed at night on the wall outside of school cafeterias.
There are so many possibilites it is frightening. The only effective way to stop something like this from happening is to start taking out these groups that we know are operating in our country and using our laws against us.

well you wrote something that was self-evident, so I assumed your point was a misunderstanding of what the guy actually wrote.
What’s the sense of attacking a logistics train AFTER the field forces have been destroyed?

Its fine to ask the questions, but no preparedness plan will do anything much to secure a school from a Beslan-type attack. In fact, it is unlikely that any preparations will do much to protect against even smaller, less carefully planned attacks. The preparedness plans will make parents feel better - thats all. Moreover, having a plan doesnt mean that it will be executed intelligently or even at all. New Orleans, after all, had an evacuation plan. The data available indicate that he average school administrator is probably no smarter than Ray Nagin.
Perhaps it won't stop a Beslan-type attack, but it will likely slow down, perhaps even prevent smaller attacks. Preparedness plans are NOT "feel good" plans. Preparadness plans are plans you put in place to give you something to act upon in certain situations.
Let me explain before you jump on me. If you live in blizzard country, you have a PLAN to deal with it. If you're caught at home, you ensure you have enough food and an alternate source of heating for a few days, you ensure that you have a generator, or whatever equipment you must operate has batteries for the duration. If you have elderly folks, oxygen systems and things that require electricity you take steps to ensure those things work during power outages, frozen pipes and roads being inaccessable. If you do NOT take steps to mitigate circumstances, you're being foolish.
If you live in hurricane country, you take steps to know routes to escape routes. You make sure you have gas in your car, you grab food, water or you prepare, ahead of time "go bags" for your family. If you don't you're being foolish.
If you do NOT take steps to prepare your kids, yourself and your family to "escape and evade" for instance, when the situation warrants, then you're being foolish. If your kids are aware ahead of time that a Columbine situation (regardless if they are crazed kids with guns, or Islamofacist terrorists is IRRELEVANT to the situation) that they can climb out windows without being ordered to do so by teachers, know for themselves they MUST take some action to avoid being killed... then you're being foolish.
In the MEAN time, teaching children, those that are old enough to understand for certain, that they may be responsible for themselves, and their own lives at some point is NOT something to be taken lightly and definately ought not to be ignored. AND we do have to hope, or help, schools to take advantage of training and retraining childred in evacuations and escaping from school if there is a situation (ANY situation) which warrants them doing so. By DOING nothing, you are condemning children to death in some situations where they might have saved themselves - by getting the school systems to work out escape plans (or other pertinient plans).

No desire to jump on you...nor do I advocate doing nothing. School preparedness plans, however, are tantamount to doing nothing - perhaps even worse because they engender a false sense of security. I do agree with your overall theme as it relates to families.

“MY POINT IS that we should fight the enemy that is fighting us, RADICAL ISLAM, and to do that SUCCESSFULLY, IMHO, you use overwhelming force.”
There is no “RADICAL ISLAM” that is somehow a separate thing from regular “ISLAM”. Your second point is correct and that is NOT what we’re doing. Our military takes this war seriously. I’m not sure the White House does.
“No where in any rational battle plan does it recommend that you attack in a way that encourages others to join the enemy against us. “
They already ARE against us. They may side with us for their own advantages for brief periods, but make no mistake - the Saudis are spending billions in this country for a reason and it isn’t in our interest. It’s that last part of the Jihad that is working so well for them in Europe and here.

” It is LOGICAL to go after the logistics as well as the enemy!”
Unfortunately, we continue to ignore an entire wing of the enemy. The Saudis fund the Jihad. THEY are the main supply dump.

All exterior doors are locked at all times. There is one entry point...it has a camera (that is viewed in the office). You buzz in, are asked who you are, why you are there. At my local public school it's the same way.
And it won't matter worth a damn.
The doors are glass. One bullet will shatter them, and the terrorists step through, blowing away anybody at the front desk. Alternately, just wait for outside recess to end, have a female terrorist walk up as the last kids are filing back in, pull a gun and hold the door as the other terrorists rush up
None of which affects me as I home school. The security measures are mainly effective at keeping out vagrants
