I may be missing something here, but based on everything I have heard right now, if all of our representives walked out of that room united and said we’re going to make this work, Iran, Syria, Al Qaeda and the rest of the terrorists in the ME would be dealt a crushing blow.

Conservatives often are branded as not being adaptive or not able to change their positions, how come the Dems can’t change their view on winning the war?

The Dems are more concerned about political advantage than the welfare of our country. Simple as that.

You cannot understand ANYTHING they do, until you understand that the war is not their first priority. They're political animals, whose first instinct is always to achieve political victory in whatever election is coming up next.

Bush and the Republicans are generally supportive of the war. Thus, politically, the Democrats must oppose it.

Seriously -- their rational just that cynical and banal.
