What Crocker is saying has far more importance and impact than Petraeus’ report. It shoots the Dems out of the water in terms of their charge that there is no political success and the outlook for achieving it, bleak. This is really the strongest argument for staying there.

I wish I could see this. The Dems have been banking on a gloomy political report to offset the security successes. Sound like Crocker’s not giving them what they had hoped for.
