Here’s what I’m thinking. If THEIR KID is affected, they’ll turn.
Trust me. It’s the same reason that people like Ron Silver and Dennis Miller became 9/11 Republicans. Just takes something more drastic for some people.
Let’s hope and pray that this horrible scenario never happens. If it does, I will say one thing: I can’t promise I wouldn’t randomly jump on and attack the first person in a turban I saw after that happened.
I agree. Only the hardest-core of liberals (the ACLU types) will stubbornly remain as screwed up as they are now. Most of the Democrats I know are “soft” liberals. As long as it doesn’t affect them (neighborhoods, taxes, schools, “diversity” etc.) then they’re all for liberalism.
Let that change, and they’ll be over to our side before you know it.
