Nailed it. They are 100% wrong in the assessment that moral would suffer here. Shock, disbelief, an outpouring of grief and sympathy from others to those directly affected.
But low moral? Barbara Streisand. Within days, thousands of convenience stores will be closed because there just aren't enough police to protect them.
If they are lucky, the owners will agree to calls for relocation camps like those in WWII for the Japanese Americans. Millions will figure that having their grand or great grandkids pay a little restitution is is a small guilt that can be lived with.
War, true war will become real as those same millions choose to fight by the rules set down by our enemy as well as a few we learned from Hitler, Tojo and Charlie. You had a city there? Now you have a pile of recycled building materials. Oh, that was a Mosque? Looks like a parking lot. Convert to Christianity or die. Those on the political left who complain will be given a similar question...
The above is pure speculation of course. It comes from only the thought of such a horrific event. What might truly happen should it occur is beyond my imagination.
That is a simple minded approach. This counrty interned massive numbers of Japanese and Geman descended Americans, with no proof then or now that it did anything but deny basic rights to citizens. Hundreds of thousands had their freedom and property seized for specious racial reasons. An infraction of that kind against any American’s rights should be considered an abomination. Before you suggest I am a troll, Jihadi or otherwise, I am a white American of Irish and French extraction. I wil not be interned unless the French government both go insane and get balls at the same time and invade North Carolina (that’s a joke, nobody can invade North Carolina)
