Did you have blacks in your school? Perhaps a black man who grew up in your little town would have different memories.
Are you Jesse Jackson?
No.
You are certainly a race-baiter.
I baited no one. I stated clear history with no distortion. Racist laws existed and illegal actions were condoned because the majority of people at the time chose to allow it.
As for your ridiculous attempt to re-write history, it is possible that a majority of Southern whites who were born under segregation felt superior to the blacks, if for no other reason than blacks usually were subjugated to menial jobs.
Its possible?! Wow, what a concession.
Segregation didn't always exist. In fact, the Jim Crow laws were passed around 1915, not too long in people years before your idealistic 1940's. To say that people were simply born under segregation is a cop out.
if for no other reason than blacks were subjugated to menial jobs
Who was subjugating blacks? There wasn't a law specifically keeping them from such jobs. What then was the penalty?
I'm not race baiting, I'm ignorance baiting. And I've caught a whopper.
>>>Did you have blacks in your school?<<<
What does that have to do with my statement that I recalled only a few incidents of racism in the form of fighting or obscenity shouting? Please try to follow the conversation.
For the record, the first blacks attended my high school when I was a junior (that is the 11th Grade for those in Rio Linda).
>>>I stated clear history with no distortion<<<
You did not. You made the outrageous claim that a majority of Southern whites were OK with lynchings. Only a blithering idiot, or a race baiter, would make such a claim. Are you a blithering idiot, or a race baiter?
>>>Wow, what a concession.<<<
That was no concession. That was history, unlike your lie that a majority of Southern whites were OK with lynchings.
>>>I’m not race baiting, I’m ignorance baiting. And I’ve caught a whopper.<<<
Please get your history straight, sonny, and not straight from the mouths of leftwing nutjobs or the so-called “Rainbow Coalition”.
