We homeschool, my nephew goes to public school. It was so sad to hear him talk about the “terrorist drill” that they practiced at the public school. Sad that they even had to practice such a thing, and even sadder that he told me that if they heard shots they were supposed to get under their desks.
Like that would help.
We did a tornado drill in school today. The kids kneel in front of the inside walls with their hands over their heads. Think that’s going to help? What happened to the old Civil Shelters that were there for protection? Is the best we can offer now - hiding under desks or hands?
The school in our district has *armed intruder drills*.
And it’s a small rural place.
