Irony is never so apparent as when Time starts blathering on about "the worst" of anything.

Next time, Time should find a car guy, not an environmentalist to write this article.

Then again, they chose America-haters to do articles on our Founding Fathers, foreign policy, etc. so I shouldn’t be surprised.

Before we decide which car deserves the title “The Worst Car....”, we have to agree to what criteria we will use!

Is it reliability? Maintainability? Appearance? Workmanship? Styling? Or nausea inducement like...? The listings I see here are meaningless!

Where’s the Ford Mustang II? I had one in college, it was a gutless wonder, handled like a cow on ice, and almost put a stake in the mustang line.

The Model T,????This guy obviously has never driven one. Pound for pound , it’s the most fun car ever built.....kind of like having you own personal carnival ride.....a true hoot.

This author is clearly a tree hugging Nazi. “Greens struck back by torching a dealership.” That is a crime, asshat. That is not a protest.

Some of the 80’s utilitarian cars were bare bones. Dodge Aries, Plymouth Reliant K, Chevrolet Celebrity, Chevrolet Citation, although I recall them having a sporty model that wasn’t too bad X-11?

Written by a typical brain dead New York, New Yorker, who thinks you can take the subway to anywhere in America. No wonder they elect carpetbaggers.

Interesting the author mentions the Fiat Multipla because that vehicle could have been a huge bestseller if Fiat had styled the vehicle correctly. Fortunately, the restyled Multipla:

...Looked much more conventional and sold quite a bit more, though of course the stigma of the original design kind of hurt sales compared to the Renault Scenic and Opel/Vauxhall Zafira, its main competitors in Europe.

Got it. The Model T was bad because it put us on the road to global warming.

Luckily this was early in the article so I could save myself the trouble of reading the rest.

Sad, but not surprising, to see the Triumph TR7 on there. I like wedge-shaped cars, and there’s still a 12-year-old in me who wants a first-generation RX7. I even had a ‘91 Mercury Capri, which was a bad idea.

But Triumph, oh, Lord. Between Lucas electrical systems and the never-ending dance the dual SU carburetors, not the best car for anyone who wants to spend more time in it than under it.

I had a Spitfire, and I would never own another British Leyland car unless everything in my house was repaired and renovated, every sock drawer sorted, my lawn and gardens immaculate, and I’d finished every book I’v thought about writing or reading. I would have to be that desperate for something to kill all the time on my hands.

Wow. You can just feel the liberal hate in the writing, to wit: "It all contributed to GM's emerging image as the Dick Cheney of car companies."

But the DeLorean DMC-12? Son-in-law has one and loves it.

“The Bi-Autogo does enjoy the historical distinction of being the first V8-powered vehicle ever built in Detroit, so you could argue it is the beginning of an even greater folly.”

BARF. What leftist drivel.
