If its Fred as the nominee I prefer that he not choose a VP running mate from the list of candidates.....I dont see any of the others bringing anything to the ticket.
Well, the one thing I see some of them (Romney, Huckabee or Rudy) bringing to the ticket would be a "following". By the time the nominee is chosen they will have been campaigning close to two years and they will have met a lot of people, gotten a lot of support and that all-important; name recognition. Fred won't have to "break them in" on the American people.
That could be worth a 2 or 3 percentage point advantage, methinks. What say ye?

If you want to end the world-wide jihad, then it’s Thompson + Giulliani (VP) + Lieberman (Sec Def).
Osama and Obama would be pooping their robes.

I just don’t see Huckabee as bringing much of a following to anyone.

I agree that they will have been on the scene for a long period of time and Romney and Giuliana are from the northeast quardant but I don’t see either as being able to win their home state MA or NY. Would they bring enough votes in another state into play that may help win it for the GOP? I don’t know. Huckabee being a southern governor doesn’t bring a lot to the ticket either, imo.
It most certainly will be an interesting or much discussed choice before it’s announced I’d guess. I’m lost at this stage for who it maybe. I keep trying to think outside the box and get away from traditional choices like current governors or other high profile government types.
