Yes, the price of freedom includes things that may be distasteful to you.
Airlines are private companies. I am in favoring of them enforcing standards as they see fit. The free market will decide.

Just depending on peoples "good taste" gave us rap music, leisure suites, men in speedos, and the Hillary pants suite - clearly we must have standards. Although I can agree with your tastes I cannot agree that your tastes should prevail as you would have them enforced.
Again, sometimes freedom isn't pretty.

That sounds good on the surface, but in the end, I'm going to have to disagree. Having traveled, I could see a major dilema in running into trouble at your 3rd connection, after 2 flights without incident then running headlong into an arbitrary rule or a gay/muslim flight attendant could leave you stranded. The carrier needs a policy understandable in advance to prevent this occurance.
