“As of right now the earliest I have been able to find is January 5 (Wyoming). Nobodys moved into 2007 yet and I seriously doubt anyone will try. Theyll push as close as they can get, but the moment someone crosses that line boom. No more delegates to the convention.”
New Hampshire is REQUIRED by their state constitution to have their primary at LEAST 2 weeks before any other state. 2 weeks before January 5 is around Christmas time. Which means we can expect it earlier than that, since no one wants to politic at Christmas time.
Also, NH has the strongest open carry recognition. You can carry a firearm anywhere but courtrooms and federal buildings.
I’m not sure of the constitutionality of such a law or statute. You see, if some other state passed the same law, you’d end up with a continuous, contradictory loop, thus rendering New Hampshire’s law useless. Plus there’s the issue of one state tying its actions to another and whether or not that would fall under the national jurisdiction of interstate relations.
