Why any judge would permit ANY bail, no matter how high, for a foreign national WITHOUT REQUIRING SURRENDER OF PASSPORT is beyond me.

I read that he's a naturalized US citizen, but whatever passport he carries, it should have been surrendered. He's either on his way to the PRC or else he's met the fate of Jimmy Hoffa.
