Liberalism is a mental illness.

Do you serves hash browns with troll omelets?

I'm getting hungry. I think I will have some cottage cheese smothered with flax seed oil!

That sounds more like a diet than something to alleviate hunger.

“It seemed like a pretty non-eventful zot.”

Seemed that way didn’t it. I assure you, in some cases that may be best. A user like that one could very well have pushed a good freeper or two over the edge before they went down.

As we watch, Liza Schwab slight update...

Earlier upthread on September 9, we noted the battle her parents had engaged to keep her from being killed by the bioethickers. As it appears that fight may already have been won. We will continue to follow, noting the story is now less critical. Speculation on my part, it may be, but just maybe it is no longer quite so easy for the death enthusiasts to ply their craft in the shadows as they would like.

...............................

Initially, she was not expected to survive.

Aliza has been in JMH's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for almost three weeks. Aliza's mother, 31-year-old Esther Schwab, has five other children under the age of 10.

"They thought, medically, that they'd done everything that they could," Schwab said. "It was difficult for them to continue treating her because they just didn't feel there was anything further that they can do for her. I was nervous about that."

Schwab said, as an Orthodox Jews, she has to follow her beliefs.

"When there's a heart rate going, when the person's still here, she's still alive and with us, and that there is hope, something could happen," she said. "The minute I walk in and start talking and conversing with her, her heart rate goes back up and that's just a sign right there that she's there, that she's with us."

Aliza's family asked for prayers and answers.

"I'm just looking for that person out there that might be watching that might have better knowledge in this sort of trauma," Schwab said.

"Right now, we're talking to Jackson and they are working very hard with us in order to ensure that Aliza gets the best possible care and is given the best chance of recovery," the family's attorney Menachem Mayberg said. "That is in flux right now and is something we're all working on together in order to ensure that whatever's best for Aliza happens."

Holtz Children's Hospital at JMH issued a statement Monday saying:

"The medical staff at Holtz, along with the Pediatric Bioethics Committee, continues to work with the Schwab family on every aspect of the care being delivered to their child."

Staff members at JMH said the plan is to get Aliza stabilized to she can be transferred to another facility for care or home with her family.

Almost unnoticed, but still about bioethics...

Gregory was board-certified in Internal Medicine and practiced for 10 years before joining the legal medicine division of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C. She later became director of medical-legal affairs for the Department of Veterans Affairs. During that time, Gregory served as liaison member of the President's Commission for the Study of Ethical Problems in Medicine and Biomedical and Behavioral Research, set up by former President Jimmy Carter.

"Her leadership in the College makes her an ideal person to come in and visit with us given our relationship with the College," Basanta said. Students and guests will benefit from Gregory's reflections, Kapp said.

They will develop "an appreciation of how we got to the point that cases like Terri Schiavo and Nancy Cruzan become front-page news; how we got to the point where medical ethics and health law questions affect the every day lives of most of us," he said.

OBOY, some news about Planned Parenthood in a thread by wagglebee...

AURORA, Illinois, September 11, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Chicago Area Planned Parenthood faces legal action unless it recants recent public statements that accuse pro-life protestors at the construction of a new abortion clinic in Aurora of a history of violence and inciting others to violence.

Awwwwww.... Being evil is a tough job and not even appreciated sometimes. In this thread by wagglebee, Planned Parenthood is being hit again. Poor babies...(Or I should say, more lucky babies...)

Jefferson City, MO (LifeNews.com) -- Abortion businesses told a federal court Monday they would have to spend too much money to comply with a new state law increasing the health and safety requirements on them. They prefer to follow the current less protective laws rather than possible spend more than $1 million to comply with the new ones.

Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri and St. Louis abortion practitioner Allen Palmer are challenging the new health and safety code.

Good that Lisa is not being snuffed out for regulations' sake.

CIVIL RIGHTS IN FLORIDA? Let me know when there are any. Why? Because the mainstream media is protecting Florida's judiciary instead of reporting on the corruption in DESOTO COUNTY. It's time to bring Nancy Jo Grant's plight to Free Republic. IMO, she's being framed and she can't even talk to the media due to a gag order. There are NO VICTIMS. The judges want to shut her up. Florida's a bad place to be if you expose the corrupt judiciary. They turned on NANCY JO GRANT, Arcadia.

Almost unnoticed, but still about bioethics...

Did a little digging and found something that might be associated - from a long time ago. Might have more to do with Waco than anything else in the scheme of planning.

As I listened to this audio of Jonestown, I found it astonishing that so many syringes were in view at about the 5 minute mark. Don't know if it is true, but it was reported that 80-90 % of them had needle marks in their upper left arm-shoulder area. Even more interesting was Jim Jones worrying about Richard Dwyer's safety at the 16:45 mark. The whole thing is very disturbing.

Tin foil? I hate it.

Fascinating! I wonder if Dwyer was at Pinellas Park. I bet he preferred strawberry flavored Kool Aid. Maybe he became one of the professors of bioethicking.

In the sudden death playoffs between Killer Tiller and Dr. Death Kervorkian, Tiller tries another play. Thread by wagglebee.

(Jim Jones is out of the running...)

Wichita, KS (LifeNews.com) -- Lawyers for late-term abortion practitioner George Tiller failed to block the seating of a grand jury that a pro-life group hopes will investigate whether more illegal abortions were done at his abortion center. Kansans for Life submitted petitions last week to invoke a law allowing citizens to petition for a grand jury probe.

Tiller's attorneys attempted yesterday to persuade Federal Court Judge J. Thomas Marten to block the process.

What kind of argument is this?? Some say the sun comes out each morning, some say it doesn't. So it is controversial.

Thread by NormsRevenge with thanks to narses for the ping.

NEWARK, N.J. - A doctor has no duty to tell a woman considering an abortion that her embryo is an "existing human being," a unanimous New Jersey Supreme Court ruled Wednesday, averting a trial over when human life begins. The decision, citing past rulings, said the court "will not place a duty on doctors when there is no consensus in the medical community or among the public" on when life begins. The 5-0 Supreme Court ruling reversed a unanimous ruling by a three-judge appeals panel and dismissed the lawsuit of a woman who had an abortion. Abortion cases pending in Illinois and South Dakota have raised the same issue.

"On the profound issue of when life begins, this court cannot drive public policy in one particular direction by the engine of the common law when the opposing sides, which represent so many of our citizens, are arrayed along a deep societal and philosophical divide," New Jersey Justice Barry T. Albin wrote for the court.

Death enthusiasts of all stripes count on flowers, warm words, cuddly teddy bears to decorate their craft so thoroughly, nobody can see by the camouflage. They must keep it sealed so nobody can peek. Thread by wagglebee.

September 12, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - With Britain facing this October its 40th anniversary of the legalizing of abortion the issue is finding its way into the mainstream British press. Today's Daily Mail, whose "small-c" editorial policy makes it Britain's largest circulating daily newspaper, is carrying a series of interviews titled, "What WE think of abortion - by the women who had them..."

The story covers interviews with six women, two of whom say they have "no regrets", chronicling the horrors of abortion.

But a US blogger is calling foul and asking why the Daily Mail is censoring its own, powerful coverage.

Has the UK's Daily Mail Censored its own Graphic Abortion Description?

For that matter, maybe a George Felos type was orchestrating things down in Jonestown. Death is "beautiful". Notice how many lovingly have their arms around each other, and feet pointed back as if they have been dragged to that spot? A law of physics, a mass suicide inherently has almost all of the victims laying face down, too.
