Actually, Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter became cosponsors of the “Secure Fence Act of 2006” (H.R. 6061) on the very same day, September 13, 2006. In fact, both becase cosponsors of the bill on the very day that it was introduced by Rep. Peter King. I believe both were equally committed to passage of the bill.
Here is a link to the list of cosponsors: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:HR06061:@@@P.
The second sentence of paragraph one of post nubmer 127 should have read as follows: “In fact, both became cosponsors of the bill on the very day that it was introduced by Rep. Peter King”. I had a typo with the word “became”.

Hunter got it all started during BJ Clinton’s term:
I am pleased that my colleagues voted to replicate the success of the San Diego border fence and bring this much needed element of security to our Southern border, said Congressman Hunter. Before Congress mandated the construction of the San Diego Border Fence in 1996, San Diego County possessed one of the most prolific drug smuggling corridors in the United States.”

You gave me a link to a bill that Rep. Peter King authored.
I meant the double fence that Hunter authored, which is an 854 mile double fence and Hunter wants border patrol in between.
I like both Hunter and Tancredo, but Hunter is more effective, and gets the China threat, and I feel that Hunter has one of the highest commitments for the life issue, because he authored the personhood-at-conception bill and attended the pro-life march in D.C.. ( btw, Brownback also has one of the highest commitments for the life issue, but I don’t agree with him on some other things.)
Tancredo and the majority of presidential candidates are also pro-life.
Pete King is a great guy, too, btw.
