I don’t think it’s your hard drive or anything major. Inside the PC is a small battery, looks like the type you’d use in a watch. That’s probably losing steam thats all, you could just open the case up, pop it out and replace it at any electronics store. It’s not a big pc problem. 99% chance thats the reason it’s not keeping track of the time/date too well. Give that a shot or let some pc tech you know do it for you.

The big question is are those who've been arrested in Germany linked to the terror graduation or not?
Yep, that sure is deja vu.

DHS Announces West Coast Maritime Radiation Detection Project
Release Date: September 5, 2007
For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
The U.S. Department of Homeland Securitys Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) announced today the West Coast Maritime pilot program that will provide maritime radiation detection capabilities for State and local authorities in Washingtons Puget Sound and Californias San Diego areas. The three-year pilot program involves the development of a radiation detection architecture that reduces the risk of radiological and nuclear threats that could be illegally transported on recreational or small commercial vessels. The pilot will be conducted in close coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard and Customs and Border Protection.
The West Coast Maritime pilot program addresses a potential threat pathway in the maritime domain, said DNDO Director Vayl S. Oxford. This project reflects the priority that the department has placed on balancing risk against all potential threats.
DNDO anticipates investing roughly $10 million in the pilot program. The Puget Sound region and San Diego, with DNDO assistance, will leverage existing federal grant funding to support small vessel radiation detection programs and the procurement of recommended equipment.
DNDO expects to deploy non-intrusive, passive detection sensors, such as human-portable radiation detection equipment, mobile sensors, and fixed-position detectors. The goal of the program is to evaluate the efficacy and begin to facilitate the use of radiation detection equipment by local authorities and maritime partners as part of their routine operations in the maritime environment.
A small vessel is defined as any watercraft that is generally less than 300 gross tons. Small vessels include commercial fishing vessels, recreational boats and yachts, towing vessels, uninspected passenger vessels, or any other small commercial vessels involved in foreign or U.S. voyages. The definition distinguishes small vessels from large commercial vessels and yachts, generally 300 gross tons and over, that are subject to security regulations already put in place under the authority of the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 and the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code.
The West Coast Maritime pilot program is underway at Puget Sound, with initial assessment activities beginning in July, and will start soon in San Diego. DNDO will be working with maritime partners and local authorities in both areas to assess the geographic configurations of the ports to maximize detection and interdiction opportunities. Additional analyses for local partners will include a baseline survey of the existing radiological and nuclear detection architecture, a gap and risk assessment, and associated recommended actions to be developed in conjunction with maritime stakeholders. Maritime stakeholders will also receive guidance from DNDO on operational protocols, training, and exercises that support small vessel radiation detection capabilities.

A Catholic church has been damaged by a bomb attack in Co Down, the PSNI revealed yesterday.
The home-made device, packed with ball bearings and a shotgun cartridge, ignited on the windowsill of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Nunsquarter, Kircubbin.
Police said they were trying to establish a motive.
Parish Priest Colm McBride claimed whoever was responsible must have been working alone. “It’s the work of a single individual who doesn’t represent anybody except their own disturbed views. Relationships here are very, very good.”

Recently reported incidents
29.08.2007: 0530 LT: 02:30S - 118:30E, Makassar Straits, Indonesia.
Three white, speedboats doing 17 kts, approached a bulk carrier underway, from the port and stbd side. The D/O raised the alarm, sounded the ship’s whistle and the crew mustered. Seeing the alert crew, the pirates aborted the attempt.
28.08.2007: 1030 LT: 06:06.9N 098:30.7E, Malacca Straits.
Ten armed pirates, in a speedboat, attempted to board a container ship underway. Due to the ships higher speed, the pirates could not board and gave up the chase.
27.08.2007: Night Hrs: Kingston outer anchorage, Jamaica.
Robbers boarded a general cargo ship unnoticed. They broke into containers and storerooms and stole ships cargo and stores. They also entered the superstructure, mess-rooms and galley and stole ship’s property. Police came on board for investigations when the ship berthed.
27.07.2007: Waini river: Guyana.
Five robbers armed with guns boarded a fishing boat and robbed the crew of their catch of fish and ships stores. They took the crew, as hostage, to another fishing boat nearby and robbed the other boats crew of their catch, stores and cash. The robbers kept both the fishing boats crew in one boat and escaped in the other fishing boat.
23.08.2007: 2210 LT: Port Said / inner harbour, Egypt.
Robbers from five boats boarded a general cargo ship during mooring manoeuvres, despite attempts of the master and crew to prevent them. The robbers tried to force open and gain access into storerooms, cargo holds and the superstructure but failed as the doors were padlocked and secured. The three pilots on board, at the time, asked the master not to interrupt the mooring manoeuvres for safety reasons. Once the ship was safely moored, the crew started chasing the robbers out. The watchmen and police on board started to help only when the master told them they would not get any cigarettes unless they made sure that there were no robbers onboard. The pilots later apologised for the business people.
21.08.2007: 2200 LT: 14:35N-120:57E, Manila anchorage, Philippines.
Two robbers armed with long knives boarded a container ship via the anchor chain. The hawse pipe cover, which was installed and secured by three wing nuts, was removed, as there was a gap large enough for the intruders hand to reach through and remove the nuts. The intruders very quickly lifted the forward 6-person liferaft, threw it over the side, jumped into the water, and escaped using a small motorboat. No injury to crewmembers.

Message to the Senate of the United States
White House News
TO THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES:
I transmit herewith for Senate advice and consent to ratification the Amendment to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (the “Amendment”). A conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material, adopted on October 28, 1979, adopted the Amendment on July 8, 2005, at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna. I transmit also, for the information of the Senate, the Department of State report on the Amendment. Legislation necessary to implement the Amendment will be submitted to the Congress separately.
The Amendment contains specific provisions to effect a coordinated international response to combating and preventing nuclear terrorism and ensuring global security. It will require each State Party to the Amendment to establish, implement, and maintain an appropriate physical protection regime applicable to nuclear material and nuclear facilities used for peaceful purposes. The aims of the regime are to protect such material against theft or other unlawful taking, to locate and rapidly recover missing or stolen material, to protect such material and facilities against sabotage, and to mitigate or minimize the radiological consequences of sabotage. The Amendment also provides a framework for cooperation among States Parties directed at preventing nuclear terrorism and ensuring punishment of offenders; contains provisions for protecting sensitive physical protection information; and adds new criminal offenses that each State Party must make punishable by law. States Parties must also either submit for prosecution or extradite any person within their jurisdictions alleged to have committed one of the offenses defined in the Convention, as amended.
This Amendment is important in the campaign against international nuclear terrorism and nuclear proliferation. I recommend, therefore, that the Senate give early and favorable consideration to this Amendment, subject to the understandings described in the accompanying report of the Department of State.

National Days of Prayer and Remembrance, 2007
A Proclamation By the President of the United States of America
White House News
During this year’s National Days of Prayer and Remembrance, we honor the thousands of victims who died in the brutal and ruthless attacks in New York City, Pennsylvania, and at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Our Nation remembers with gratitude the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary citizens who acted with courage and compassion to save the lives of others, and we pray for the families whose loved ones were taken from them.
Never forgetting that terrible day, we remain determined to bring our enemies to justice, defy the terrorists’ ideology of hate, and work to make our world safer. We honor the members of our Armed Forces who died while taking the fight to our adversaries, and we are grateful for those who continue to protect our Nation and our way of life. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication help preserve our freedom. We pray for their safety, for all those who love them, and for the peace we all seek.
We remain a hopeful America, inspired by the kindness and compassion of our citizens and our commitment to freedom and opportunity. During these days of prayer and remembrance, we reflect on all we have lost and take comfort in each other and in the grace and mercy of our Creator. May God guide us, give us strength and wisdom, and may He continue to bless our great country.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim Friday, September 7, through Sunday, September 9, 2007, as National Days of Prayer and Remembrance. I ask that the people of the United States and their places of worship mark these National Days of Prayer and Remembrance with memorial services, the ringing of bells, and evening candlelight remembrance vigils. I also invite the people of the world to share in these Days of Prayer and Remembrance.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord two thousand seven, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-second.
GEORGE W. BUSH

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “With Mexican drug gangs corrupting police and terrorizing Mexicans, they also provide a possible conduit for terrorist infiltration of the US. Mexico has long been a way station for OTMsOther Than Mexicansintending to sneak into the US. The human smuggling business is intrinsically linked to the drug smuggling business. With narco-terrorists borrowing a page from al-Qaedas playbookvideotaping executions and beheading their victims, there is little reason to think they would hesitate at assisting Islamist terroristsif the price was right.

“Blocking ‘The Path to 9/11’”
By Martin Miller
LA Times | 9/6/2007
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Among the nearly two dozen television DVDs slated for nationwide release on Sept. 11 is the second season of “Bones,” the third season of “Grey’s Anatomy” and the miniseries “The Starter Wife” that aired earlier this year. Not on the list on that day or any other in the near future is last year’s highly controversial “The Path to 9/11.”
The $40-million, five-hour ABC miniseries, which recently received seven Emmy nominations and drew a combined two-night audience of more than 25 million viewers, is for now on the path to nowhere. Its Amazon page reads: “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”
With no date for the release, questions are being raised about whether political pressure is behind its current status as a stalled or discarded DVD project. The reasons are murky, but the miniseries’ writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, believes it’s crystal clear: Powerful forces are out to protect Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy and shield Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) from any potential collateral damage in her bid for the White House.
Nowrasteh, also one of the miniseries’ many producers, said he was told by a top executive at ABC Studios that “if Hillary weren’t running for president, this wouldn’t be a problem.””
