key to future landfall is probably how far east it ends up after this intial development phase. too far east and it's going to have a tough time drifting west under the ridging to the north to make it to the coast before being picked up by what should be a decent fall-like push of air for the northeast coming with a trough next week.
99L has made it pretty far east with minimal development thus far. I think the threat has been greatly diminished along much of the East Coast after today's trends. Something should begin developing tomorrow, but it could be a difficult task to make it all the way back before getting picked up and kicked out by a decent trough moving through.

Looks like it’s being pushed out of it’s ability to come back, but of course, that can all change over night. :)
