And so it begins. Let’s see what he’ll do.
blah blah blah...
Damn this is gong to be more fun than a gaggle of Ron Paul supporters...
Where are all those “experts” here on FR that said Fred would not run, that he was going to gin up alot of interest and then endorse his good buddy McCain hmmmmmm?
I like the guy. I hope he’s as good on the stump as we presume he should be. He can be a powerful and effective speaker. I’ve heard a couple of speeches though, that while they weren’t awful they just weren’t great.
Time will tell. I’m not really invested in anybody yet. I like all of our candidates for various reasons. Yah, even Rudy. Romney is OK, except for the almost creepy perfect persona. I’m not sure he can win on the national level.
But Fred can, and so can Rudy. We’ll see.
It’s nice that we’ve actually got some depth on the bench this time around. There must really be some frustrated democrats. They’re the ones really sucking air. After eight years of an (R) in the white house they’ve practically got a gimme election. That’s just the way of things... and so this golden opportunity crops up and the best they can come up with is Hillary? And Obama? And Edwards? Holey second-string Batman!
Gore was embarrassing enough, but then they put up Kerry? Sheesh, they might as well have run Jane Fonda. All they need to do is run some mildly acceptable democrat governor from someplace and they’d own the election. But no...
It’s reminiscent of back when all we had was Bob Dole. Sure he was a nice guy and a war hero, but he was hardly exciting.
And so it begins. Lets see what hell do.

He must now go after the Clinton, Inc. crime machine. And expose the witch for everything she is and would do. This needs to be a clear defeat for the criminal, socialist left.
Oh, it began a while back, at least when he fired his 38 second shot at Michael Moore, or maybe even earlier when he was debating the senior editor of NRO in an exchange of blog posts.
From then on, all of Thompson’s actions—waiting until after Labor Day to announce, thereby following old custom, rather than the modern fashion of the campaign beginning the moment the last election is tallied; keeping his ability to get extensive commentary on news issues posted on ABC’s website as long as he decently could; getting solo forums rather than joining the absurdly long series of debates in which candidates without a ghost of a chance of begin nominated get equal billing (sorry Brownbackers, Hunterites, and Tancredistas, that means your candidates, oh and the libertarians backing Ron Paul, too—even if he manages to poll higher)—have all been calculated to boost his (deserved) image of being his own man, his perceived stature, and his poll numbers.
