The police officer who interviewed Sen. Larry Craig after arresting him at the Minneapolis airport repeatedly told Craig he was "very disappointed" that Craig wasn't telling the truth. In a tape broadcast this afternoon on MSNBC, Sgt. Dave Karsnia said Craig wasn't telling the truth when Craig denied running his hand under the wall between the adjoining stalls Craig and Karsnia occupied in the men's room where Karsnia was running a sting operation.
"I just want to say I'm disappointed in you, sir, I really am," Karsnia said angrily after Craig insisted he wasn't trying to solicit sex from Karsnia.
Craig pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after his arrest June 11 when Karsnia said Craig solicited him for sex.
Craig did not deny that the two men's shoes touched after he sat down on the toilet. "Did they bump? I suppose so. I don't disagree with that," he told Karsnia.
Then he added, "I'm not gay. I don't do those kinds of things. ... You're out to enforce the law. But you shouldn't be out to entrap people.
"This is not entrapment," Karsnia shot back.
Karsnia tried to assure Craig at one point that he would not go public with Craig's arrest. "I don't call media. I don't do any of that kind of crap," he said.

Sounds like a set-up
So how did the story get out??? Who is the source???
Isn't the mayor up there a Democrat who's under a lot of pressure over letting that bridge fall in?
Time for the cops to come clean.
All of 'em. Let's see the duty rosters ~ and if LC is dirty, then he should leave. In the meantime the cops really do have a moral obligation to the rest of the country to demonstrate conclusively that this was not a set-up.
“I don’t call media. I don’t do any of that kind of crap,”
But you do release a tape to the media.
What an ass cop. He is a real jerk and clearly out to get Craig in this tape, not simply doing his job.
Still, it is time for Craig to resign....
This is bad, and it is hard to believe his hand just waved under the stall even though I laugh about the tapping foot crap.
Maybe or maybe not. Regardless, he plead guilty, and he’ll never overcome that.
Well, somebody in the department obviously does.
And just in time to divert attention from Hitlery's finance scandal.
Childish bathroom humor ping!
“Sounds like a set-up”
Yes, after reading this, I can’t believe they are wasting police effort on this. What an absurd “collar” to pick up.
I heard Hannity playing the tape on the way home. I still haven’t read the entire transcript.
I need to find it another format besides pdf so it can be posted here for all to read easily.
Unintentionally hilarious!
“Regardless, he plead guilty, and hell never overcome that.”
Yes, very bad judgement but the transcript makes his explanation/claims a bit more understandable/beleivable.
Either he fights it publicly or he cops a plea privately.
My assumption has been that a non-gay person would fight it, but even if it was a set-up, as a politician, he’d be facing so much ridicule if it went public he’d be tempted to take the ‘easy’ route. Bad call.
He should have gotten a lawyer.
I am waiting to hear how many men were picked up by the cops in that bathroom that day, or that week, or that month. If Craig is the only one then I will believe that he was set up. I despise Chuch Schumer and every man who works for Hillary. I would not put it past them to entrap Senator Craig, as Schumer continues his path of destruction through the ranks of Republican Senators and Senatorial candidates.
I heard it on Fox.
They did catch men and that was not the first day of the operation.
Must get pretty boring sitting there on the john all day.
Must get tempting to make something to catch someone to keep life interesting.
