The problem is my new phone is only supposed to be charged when it’s off, Wow -- that sounds like a step backwards! What phone is that? I think I'll stick with one that needs to be recharged every two to three days (at home I am a LONG way from two nearest towers -- my old phones wouldn't even work indoors) but can charge while on.

It’s an LG by Qualcomm.
My inlaws got the same phones, and my Father in law, whose a tech geek, told me that. I couldn’t find it in the manual, but for now I’ll take his word for it—the phone’s gotta last 2 years.
