That was one of the first upgrades my wife made me do to the house when we moved back in....central air (she was pregnant with our first at the time). I had to sell my S10 Blazer to pay for it, but it is WELL worth the money.

But up here it's needed only some 4 days a year, and the basement is still there if needed (haven't retreated to it in years).
