To: Monkey Face
Dark -- yes, I tend to sleep later then too. Sadly, the light now starts coming *after* my intended rising time so it's going to be six months of fighting to be up on time. (I don't use an alarm clock.)

Looks like an easy day ahead, am already past the difficult part -- booking a hotel in Germany with an agent who spoke fairly good English but I think unaccustomed to American accents. I hope he got the e-mail address correct; I still haven't received the confirmation.

I don’t use an alarm clock, either, so being in that dark room was deceptive.

Another problem I had were the mountains. That valley is surrounded by the mountains, so dawn takes forever to turn into sunshine.

I took lots of photos, even some while I was driving, but the one mountain I wanted wasn’t among the ones I took. :o([

I just didn’t get out of the house much.
