” He seems to be taking credit for what hes saying and not attributing it to God.”
Really? Then why did he say this?.....
“I’m not necessarily saying it’s going to be nuclear,” he said during his news-and-talk television show “The 700 Club” on the Christian Broadcasting Network. “The Lord didn’t say nuclear.”

I like Pat Robertson ... he’s well-intentioned and usually right on issues ... but I often wish he’d just stick a sock in it.
But, let someone who isn’t among the leadership of the Christian right say this stuff!!
For instance - that Chavez assassination scandal. Yes, the world and the U.S. would probably be better off if the CIA or Mossad knocked Chavez off ... and I certainly wouldn’t lose any sleep over it. But the Christian community is NOT better off with one of its leaders professing, out loud, his support for the idea.

ANYONE who says God actually speaks to them, telling them very specific things that are worldly, is desperately in need of psychological help. No exceptions.

Isn’t it strange how God never can get a clear or accurate message through to Pat? True biblical prophets never seemed to have that problem.
Pat really needs to give up his “the Lord said to me” schtick. It’s embarrassing.

I suspect you may have misunderstood my intended meaning. What I was attempting to say is that it did not appear that he was saying God told him what he was saying but rather it was his thought. If he doesn’t have a specific word from God then that is appropriate. As far as his theology, I believe I’ve heard some elements that I disagree with from him (although I’d have to research it to be more specific), but that had nothing to do with my post.

You make a good point that I’d missed. However, if he is saying God is giving him a specific word...and he is acting as a prophet, then the OT has some rather specific statements on how to treat prophets that falsely prophesy, and he’s admitted that he doesn’t have a 100% track record.

I think the “God” Pat’s been talking to has a sticker on his side that reads, “Take with food or milk”.

No problem.
I haven’t seen Robertson make his statement, so all I have to go on is this AP report. Of course the AP would never do a story about Robertson if it wasn’t for the purpose of mocking Robertson.

Of course the AP would never do a story about Robertson if it wasnt for the purpose of mocking Robertson. Quite true. It's amazing how the MSM will attribute Islam as the "religion of peace" and yet they deny salvation through the Prince of Peace.

[.. You think God told him this? ..]
Whether God did or not.. You got muslims all over the world threatening this.. They have even done some of it.. in a small time way.. merely killing thousands..
To think they are not planning this (as they actually say they are) is denial and delusion.. Looking at the republican party preparing for the next election, denial and delusion must be more widespread than just with democrats..
