I’ve heard a lot of excuses for Paul’s votes, but saying some of these are State versus Federal issues is one of the lamest, especially as crossing interstate transportation of a minor and border security are both specifically federal issues.
That chart isn’t even complete. Where’s constitutionalist/republican (as in the form of government)? That’s where I fall.
This is what you folks do for entertainment?
It must be a slow day in your lives when you all come to a RP thread to criticize the man who doesn’t have a chance at winning the White House seat.
Where’s all the people who say to vote Republican Party, no matter what?
Have you tried crossward puzzles or Barbie dolls?
Also, regarding your tagline, that guilt by association tactic is truly crap. Completely irrelevant. It has nothing to do with what Dr. Paul has accomplished in his ten-term career.
“Ranging from anti-war liberals to staunch conservatives, with a large dose of libertarians, Paul’s followers”
Any candidate who has liberals followers is clearly not one I’d vote for.
I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over Paul as President. The odds of that happening about the same as me being elected. And I’m not even running.
You can start by throwing out the rotten representatives and senators in the primaries.
But ticked off Conservatives can an election break. The Mainstream GOP hierarchy may not like Ron Paul but they better start paying attention to his supporters and some of their key issues if they want anyone elected. Using the not so brilliant wisdom of Jerry Ford "Where else can they go?" and expecting us to be there but sit silently yet again for another GOP Liberal/ Moderate is not going to happen this election. The Rockies had their days in power since booting Newt and they have nearly ruined the party since that time.
Paul has a couple of good ideas but they are greatly outweighed by the ton of other baggage he brings with him. He is a waste of time. His conspiracy theories, and the issues you mention regarding abortion across state lines and the National Guard on the border, and long list of other items make him totally impossible as a candidate no matter how many online polls his dudes mess with. Besides that - Paul LOVED Wild Texas Shrimp Industry so much he voted against it. The devious way he twists rules around to make it look like he is a purist really make him seem untrustworthy.
