As I stated earlier on this thread; when we fried with lard the food was more satisfying.
You got and my great uncles Bob had lard everyday the whole family lived to their late 90's or almost a 100. I remember having tea and toasted Italian round bread with lard and pepper it was dilicious! My greatgrand parents had a Hog farm in upstate NY.
