I'm not sure how many votes he can take from either side at this point. Unless he has someone willing to finance his campaign in a big way, he won't have the money to be a serious candidate.

The other question is who the nominees of the major parties would be. I can see him taking votes from either Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney in the South. I think he'd have a bigger impact on Rudy Giuliani. In a Thompson/Clinton/Nunn race, he might take from both sides equally or maybe hurt Clinton a little more.

Bill

I would hate to see that, I would have to vote for those two.

I remember Sam Nun well and he used to be one of the Dems that I admired. Back then, he was a “hawk” on defense, but with his comments about nuclear disarmament he seems to have gone over to the dark side. I did not know that he was anti-gun which is another reason that he should not be POTUS. It is true that he does not have the personality to exactly electrify a crowd. I think the NewsMax.com article mentioned that he was thinking of teaming up with Mayor Bloomberg who is also not “Mr. Personality”.

Georgia is the 10th most populous state in the country and has 15 electoral votes.

The only reason for a 3rd-party Nunn candidacy would be to take Georgia out of the "Republican" column...if that happens, hello President Clinton!
