ALAMO, Texas -- Federal agents acting on a tip found 58 illegal immigrants of various nationalities crowded in a single-story residence, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Friday.
Agents on Thursday found 15 women and 43 men, of which there were 33 Mexicans, 19 Brazilian, three Hondurans, two Salvadorans and one Peruvian.
The illegal immigrants were taken to the agency's Weslaco station pending formal removal back to their home countries.
“Viva con Dios, amigos, viva any place you please, only viva.”
Um... I think that’s “via.”
Which is exactly what was being done. An illegal or some greedy opportunist anglo would gobble up a $600,000 house, get a subprime loan with no money down and teaser rates, divvy up the rooms and basement, cover the mortgage, and make a couple of thousand bucks profit off the books.
With the slowdown in construction, pressure starting to be applied by localities to this overcrowding, the renters are leaving. The cash flow is gone, and the mortgage balloons are coming due and viola! - the subprime mortgage crises.
You missed your opportunity to make big bucks.
Um... I think thats via.
If I'm rembering my high school Spanish correctly, it would be 'vaya' for 'go'. I say "Vaya ahora!" (Go now!).

I took Latin.
Gotta stop this crap from happening in the first place, or eventually (and when I say eventually, I mean sooner than our leaders seem willing to admit), the U.S. as we have known it will simply implode.
Need to wake up and:
(a) build an impenetrable, secure border
(b) change the laws so that the offspring of illegal aliens are also themselves illegal aliens
(c) cut any and all benefits and any other incentives for illegals at the federal level
(d) make illegal trespassing — it’s not “illegal immigration,” folks — an automatic felony with swift deportation as the sentence.
(e) Impose wallet-busting fines and federal prison sentences on employers who employ illegals
(f) simultaneously initiate a disincentive media campaign directed at both illegals and US employers, with TV spots, billboards and the like, informing the illegals in no uncertain terms that only legal immigrants are welcome, and informing employers in equally certain terms, “Employ an illegal. Go to Jail.”
Did I miss anything?
Maybe a couple years ago they were cramped like that. I just seen with my own eyes three nice homes go up built by illegal labor for illegal brick layers. Right behind Texas speedway. Very nice homes among trailers that legal Americans live in.
Hmmm.... If it had a septic system, it probably couldn't handle the load. The diffusing pipes would become blocked and the sewerage would back up. Every time you flush or bathe it comes out in the lowest drain in the house, usually in the basement near the laundry.
We had a spell of -10 F (daily high, can't wait for global warming) for about a week a couple of winters ago and the pipes leading to the leeching field froze (improper installation, unevenly laid pipes), we couldn't use our plumbing for a couple of days..
I kinda proud of my ignorance of Spanglish.
Here's 500,000 more making demands and threats while marching on Dallas Texas, 2006
“Via” means road, both in Latin and Spanish.
It looks like the more appropriate Latin word would be some conjugation of “cedo.” (Go Away)
And “vaya” is the appropriate Spanish word for “go.”
Just one-make a concerted serious effort at deporting the ones already here-and start with the agitators who carried a Mexican flag above an upside-down American one. Sheesh, they even made it easy to find them, what’s the hold-up?
Ain’t that a lovely picture..... melting RIGHT IN
:o)
Bas.....
Oops...wrong! (It’s too early in the morning, sorry.)
Camino is “road” in Spanish. D’oh!
Any way they could stop by a house on my street?
15 men, 43 women. i like those odds.
That picture engenders white-hot fury in me.
These people would rather live in a house full of sewage in the States then live in their own country. I guess that says a lot for the country they came from.
Yes, reminds me of that South Park episode where Robert Redford brings his film festival to South Park and the sewers back up.
