you're probably right. I don't know any guys in that gang. I grew up in southern California and san Antonio... Latin Kings and Mexican Mafia. All of them had ink. Maybe the Mara 13 is different.
What's funny is that the Newark hit sounded like something from San Antonio. la eme usually tapes you up and shoots you in the back of the head a couple of times.
My father kept me out of the gangs ( with fear) and I kept my nose clean till I left for good. USMC, college, post grad...life...never looked back.
I had "friends" that lived by the MM code... blood in, blood out...etc. They will kill you for looking at them wrong. Not in the fake, "wanna be" tough poser way..but just flat out kill you and joke about it later sort of way.

The tattoos are colors of the MS-13. But they also have clothing or just the number 13 to identify themselves.
I totally agree that this Newark hit was something like a ‘San Antonio hit’.
