Dean hugged the southern coast of Jamaica quite closer than all the models predicted. I don’t think S.Texas is in the all-clear yet.

Everything I’ve read said the eye was a little south of where predicted and it certainly appears that way to me. But the winds were higher out from the eye than might be expected.

I think I’m leary because our government is leary. All signs are that we are ok, but I think there is still a ‘but” in peoples heads. I’m not comfortable yet that we dodged another one.

The squirrels around here in Houston have been acting weird. Some are laying flat (including the tail) for min of 5 minutes at a time. First I have ever seen it.
