Well, at 6:08, FOX's Marianne Silber had retreated inside and was going to go downstairs. I think she's in the
Pegausus Hotel ( right center. ) I recognize those tennis courts. Not really sure, though. Could be the wind is shifting to blow directly into her balcony, so subjectively it would be "getting worse", even though the eye is definitely moving well to the west of Kingston at this hour.

As you say it depends.
The first winds would have been coming over the hotel from the land. Now that the eye has moved west the tail end winds would now be coming in from the ocean.
If she had a nice ocean view room the winds would be blowing right in her balcony door about now.

Confirmed the FOX live video was from the
Pegasus Hotel based on FOX video web site. She's looking right over the pool and tennis court visible in the Google maps page at the link.
